This week is the week of my 13th consecutive Young Living International Grand Convention (12 consecutive Conventions attended in-person and then this Virtual Convention)!!! While I won’t be able to see thousands of my team members in person, I WILL be joining them online virtually, AND I will have several local team members here at my house over the next few days to watch it along with me! I LOVE our company, and I LOVE that we get to help millions of people around the world and change generations for the better through Wellness, Purpose and Abundance with our essential oils! First up yesterday was our Awards Gala to celebrate our members who have been helping so many families around the world and have achieved top ranks in our company! I decided to dress up in my favorite formal... my Mother-of-the-Bride dress I wore last year at Julia’s wedding (yes, I STILL fit in it even after quarantine! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻) to celebrate our team members from home. Yesterday, we celebrated the life of an amazing man of God and friend Dr. Joe Cruse, Jr. the father and grandfather of several of my dear, long-time friends. This man loved God with all his heart and loved people SO much and served God all of his life. He left a beautiful Legacy of serving God and serving others to his 5 children and their spouses and his 14 grandchildren and their spouses and 14 great-grandchildren. They ALL love and serve the Lord in some way... most in ministry (all with beautiful voices). Some of you might have heard of the Cruse Family singers who traveled and ministered in the 70’s and 80’s. His funeral... his celebration of going home to be with Jesus was one of the most beautiful services I have witnessed. ❤️ His children and grandchildren shared stories and spoke of how he exemplified the love of Jesus to them and how he cheered them on and supported them and showed them how to love God and love people. Legacy... Darren and I keep talking about it since that service. What do you want your Legacy to be? What do you want to pass on to you children and their children and their children for generations? Sooooo I spent all day today cancelling our family Spring Break trip to London next week. 😢😭😭 Back in September as soon as we learned that “The Prince of Egypt the Musical” was opening in the West End in London, we bought tickets and booked our trip... our first BIG family Spring Break trip. We were also going to catch a train to Manchester to see the brand new “Back to the Future the Musical”. I had our train tickets and show tickets and everything. BUT because Elyse is in college, we didn’t want to risk getting stuck over there with her needing to get back to classes. So we are postponing our trip. 😢 It was a long day getting everything cancelled or at least deferred... but the day ended on the BEST NOTE EVER with me and Darren taking Julia and Brandon to see Harry Connick Jr. in concert. We for SURE checked off another item on our Dream List!!! ❤️ 🎶 We have been LONG time fans! Our whole family loves Harry’s music! This morning, we visited Elyse and attended Friday Chapel. Still one of my favorite places to praise the Lord... with several thousand young people... Oral Roberts University Chapel. As a student, I learned to appreciate stopping in the middle of a busy, stressful day (often sandwiched between exams or band rehearsals) two days a week to just focus on Jesus, cast my cares on Him and rest in Him as I worshipped Him and was edified with an encouraging word from the Word of God. These experiences several times a week with the Holy Spirit ingrained in me the importance of keeping Jesus the center of my life ESPECIALLY smack dab in the middle of the busy-ness and stress of life.
